FrontLiner Profiles: Randal Figueroa
Randal Figueroa has been a volunteer with FrontLine Service for 3 years and a Board Member for 1 year.
“I admire how much Frontline does for the homeless, for the children, and for the Veteran’s in need of assistance. As a Veteran myself, I have turned my service to our country, into serving our community and fellow veterans. I have not encountered a company whose workers have such an impact and passion for those in need.” - Randal Figueroa
How long have you worked at FrontLine?
I have been volunteering with Frontline for 3 years. I have been serving on the board for 1 year.
How did you first learn about FrontLine Service?
Through Turner Construction as we were looking for a company to volunteer with.
What is your current role? What are your basic job responsibilities?
I serve on the Development Committee and primarily cover the logistics and moving of materials/gifts during Twinkle shop as well as volunteer as a Camp Buddy during Camp Bridges.
Why do you work here? Why do you care about this work?
I admire how much Frontline does for the homeless, for the children, and for the Veteran’s in need of assistance. As a Veteran myself, I have turned my service to our country, into serving our community and fellow veterans. I have not encountered a company whose workers have such an impact and passion for those in need.
What do people often misunderstand about your work or the people you work with?
That I do it for the attention, while I simply look forward to a job well done.
What is your favorite part of your job?
I take pride in alleviating some stress from the FrontLine leadership by coordinating the moving and staging of gifts and materials with extreme efficiency.
What is the hardest part of your job?
Trying to find more ways to volunteer.
What is a hobby, interest, or routine you have that is not related to work?
I volunteer with 2 other organizations and continually look for ways to assist Veterans who are in need or transitioning out of their service. I am a father of 4 so I enjoy spending time with my children and am an avid UFC fan.
What is one thing you would want the community to understand about the work you do?
There are so many people in need, and most efforts will cost you nothing but time.
What would you say to someone who is interested in working at FrontLine?
It appears to be something that is both humbling and devastating. I couldn’t imagine working daily with people who have endured such pains and travesties that your clientele have. I have nothing but admiration for the work, passion, and impact that every employee at FrontLine Service exhibits.
