Brunswick couple breaks previous fundraising record for FrontLine Service to prevent suicide

After raising $2,660 last year after their Ride for Life Poker Run, Laura, and Joe Martovitz didn’t know if they’d raise much more than that in 2021. They were surprised by the number of donations that flowed through their 9th annual Ride for Life Poker Run this year, and so proud to present a check for $5,606 to FrontLine Service, to be used to support work done by the agency’s Mobile Crisis Team and suicide prevention hotline.

New Supportive Housing Development in Cleveland to Serve Transition-Aged Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Partners in Cuyahoga County’s Housing First initiative today announced a partnership with A Place 4 Me to design a new 50-unit supportive housing development specifically to serve transition-aged youth age 18 to 24 (TAY) experiencing homelessness. The partners recently attracted low-income housing tax credits from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency to help fund the $12 million development, which has an anticipated opening in summer 2023 in the St. Clair Superior neighborhood.

Cleveland Mediation Center Receives Funding for Correctional Re-entry Program

FrontLine Service’s Cleveland Mediation Center (CMC) has started a new program in our community to connect individuals returning from prison with their family members.

Funded by the JAMS Foundation and the National Association for Community Mediation and in partnership with Oriana House and FrontLine Service’s Children of Incarcerated Parents Program, CMC is mediating with fathers at Oriana House’s Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) and caregivers of their children.

FrontLine Service Receives Dolls for Divas Donation for Twinkle Shop

For the fifth year in a row, FrontLine Service has received an abundance of dolls of color for Twinkle Shop through the difficult pandemic this year.

Dolls For Divas, a local charity organization, gave a generous annual donation of dolls for families in need. The organization has given to other organizations but has primarily given to FrontLine Service for five consecutive years. Stevenson said she found the organization welcoming and dedicated.
