Meredith Black, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Director of Human Resources

Meredith Black joined FrontLine Service as the Director of Human Resources in 2007, after holding HR positions of increasing responsibility for several non-profit agencies in the community.  As a member of the agency’s executive leadership team, Meredith oversees FrontLine’s human resources systems, policies, and programs, and facilitates relations with SEIU 1199.  She leads a human resource team responsible for administering employee benefits and recruiting and training over 300 employees.

Meredith is committed to creating and maintaining a positive work experience for those employed at FrontLine. She continuously interacts with staff at all levels of the organization to assess their workplace experience and has been in the forefront of creating positive changes in workplace culture.  Meredith is an active member of FrontLine’s  Anti-Racism Steering Committee , advocating and implementing goals and actions to promote anti-racism at all levels of the agency. 

Meredith holds a B.A. in International Business from Cleveland State University with a minor in Management and Labor Relations, and a Masters of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College with a concentration in Human Resources. She is certified by the Society of Human Resources Managers as a Senior Certified Professional. 

In her free time, Meredith trains for (and finishes!) marathons.
