Resolving Crises

FrontLine Service, formerly MHS, 24/7 Suicide Prevention Hotline for children and adults whose safety and health are threatened by mental health challenges or overwhelming stressors. We provide Crisis Assessment and Intervention services throughout Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and have done so without interruption since 1995. In 2011, our Mobile Crisis Team received more than 20,000 requests for services.

Life can be difficult for those who are struggling with mental health, substance use, trauma, violence or other challenges that affect our emotional well-being.  In times of crisis, it is not unusual to feel overwhelmed and alone.  Whether it is you or someone you are concerned about, we are here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help during these difficult times.

We will listen.  We won’t judge.  We will work with you to identify solutions to the issue(s) you are struggling with.

  • Mobile Crisis Teams (MCT) -MCT works closely with adults and children who are experiencing a crisis or simply need to talk.  We are community based and able to travel throughout Cuyahoga County to the person in need.  This may be a home, school, hospital or a mutually agreed upon location.   We can also chat on the computer, text or talk with you on the phone.  Our goal is to listen, identify how to resolve the crisis and help the person regain a sense of control.  MCT provides a full range of evaluation, intervention, referral, and disposition services for adult, adolescents and children who are experiencing a mental health crisis.  An important component of the crisis program is the linking of the person in crisis with other service providers in the community to develop the support necessary to address future life stressors and avert additional crisis.  FrontLine Service collaborates with hospitals, mental health agencies, schools, and numerous other community providers to complete assessments, develop treatment plans, coordinate necessary support, and arrange follow-up services for the person experiencing the crisis.
